User Observations

DESCRIPTION

Uswer observations enables you to observe and record how consumers act in real-life scenarios in their own homes. You will see what issues customers are having and how they are dealing with them.

HOW TO USE

Define the observation's goals and determine if you'll need more than just written notes for documentation, such as audio or video recordings.
User observation occurs in the field and helps you to observe consumers in their natural environment. Observations may be overt (with an investigator present) or indirect (using a video camera, for example). After that, jot down your thoughts. Take care not to be swayed by the customer's behavior. After that, ask the participants clarifying questions.

TIPS & T RICKS

•  Act as though you're a fly on the wall by being as unobtrusive as possible. Interrupting or directing the customer's conduct is not a good idea.
